This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Plains is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Plains follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Great take on a buffalo chicken wrap. Large chunks of chicken. Very good.

One of the most horrible dining experiences I have EVER had. Waited for over 40 minutes for a sandwich and salad to watch our food being brought to another table. When we addressed the waitress she admitted she made a mistake and offered to pack up our lunch to go????? We asked for a refund and the manager never apologized and offered us 2 cookies. Ridiculous. Do better. I can’t rate the food because I never even received my meal.

The Cafe is a comfortable spot for lunch or dinner. The food choices are posted on the wall for customer consideration and ordering at the counter. The food is mysteriously delivered by a member of the staff. I chose a chicken Caesar wrap. It was full of chicken but was a bit dry on this occasion, more lettuce and dressing was needed. It was served with potato chips (meh) and a pickle chip. My friend ordered a club sandwich with special modifications. It also was served with potato chips. We each enjoyed soft drinks -- lemonade and Sprite. A full bar is available which includes specialty coffees. I recommend this long-standing restaurant.

A + service and food. The fresh unsweetened tea was delicious. I had three. My salad was stellar. We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed their food. The chocolate chip cookies were recommended and We know why!!! I will return for another one of these salads.

Had an amazing 60th birthday party at The Cafe last week! My family and friends enjoyed everything from start to finish! The cocktail hour, the dinner, DJ and dancing! Jeff, Missy, Marie, and their entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that it was a truly memorable event! The place looked amazing, the food was phenomenal, and the service top-notch! When I started planning, Missy told me β€œyou tell me what you want and I will make it happen β€œ. I would highly recommend The Cafe for any of your special occasions or events. They treated us like family and it was truly a night I will never forget!
